Welcome to my PSG Page!

Welcome to PSG (Professional Services Group)- those were the first words I heard on 18 April 2001 when I followed the paperwork given to me by the Department of Labor people at the Unemployment Orientation meeting the previous day. Who knew what those words would herald? I joined PSG that day - took the classes and became a full-fledged member on 1 June 2001. Since then, PSG has brought direction, guidance and understand from people who, like me, are out there struggling to find that next magical job.

With the economy continuing to nose-dive, it is looking more and more grim with each passing day. And yet, the members of PSG are coming and going - there are people finding new jobs and getting their next position through the services of PSG - whether it is via a direct lead at the Opportunity Center or through networking, a skill highly valued and taught at PSG!

I have been instructing at PSG now since the beginning of July and it is amazing - I am doing things I would never have done on my own - standing in front of 8 to 15 people lecturing; teaching people to get through interviews. It is giving me strength in previously weak areas; it is adding additional structure to my days; and it is allowing me to "keep my hand in" with my HR skills, such as interviewing people.

I highly, highly recommend coming to the Dover DOL office on Wednesday morning (0900) to attend the PSG weekly meeting; I even more highly recommend that you come to the Orientation class on Wednesday afternoon at the Dover facility from 1300 (1:00pm) to 1600 (4:00pm) to learn all about PSG and what we can do to help you in your job search!
